It’s Friday again! The end of the week seems like a perfect time to take a moment to look up at the sky, so I offer you a preview, just in case this post finds you somewhere where you can’t just stop and turn your eyes upward. A scroll through these images should hold you.
I took these images shortly before Christmas 2016, during my visit to the First Church in Albany, New York, which I shared in my last post. It was a cold day, but sunny, and with a festive feeling in my heart that was bolstered by the soaring serenity of gothic arches and stained glass, not too cold to take a walk just a short way up and down the street from the parking lot beside the church, and capture a modern, somewhat-gritty-yet-still-somewhat-stately modern city that grew up around its Dutch roots...which, if you look closely, you might still find beneath a December sky…
